Cycle Counter/Inventory Control
Reports To:
DC Supervisor or Designee
Job Overview:
Responsible for executing inventory management tasks to maintain optimal stock levels. Conducts daily cycle counting operations, performs root cause analysis, and recommends corrective measures as necessary. Addresses inventory discrepancies and informs the Supervisor of any irregularities. Prepares and submits inventory control documentation as required. Responds to product and inventory inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts on raw materials, packaging supplies, finished products, and non-conforming items daily.
- Utilize E10 software for processing cycle counts, reviewing current and historical inventory data.
- Ensure proper placement of materials and conduct searches for misclassified inventory.
- Open and inspect cartons, bundles, and other containers to verify item counts and weights.
- Document and label products indicating remaining quantities.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory levels and damaged items to supervision, and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory reports.
- Collaborate on process improvements to mitigate inventory discrepancies.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in inventory management, cycle counting, and order picking.
- Familiarity with Epicor is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Highly organized and detail-focused.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Mathematical proficiency for weight calculations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Epicor is advantageous.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
