About the Role

The PantherDining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support to department heads and staff.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to employees, supervisors, staff, and senior leaders.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and/or perform a wide variety of administrative and secretarial activities for the dining facilities.
  • Lead, guide, and interact with administrative staff to perform daily functions efficiently.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting open positions and completing interview packets.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Assist employees with program needs, such as Onboarding, OneUSG, campus email, parking, or uniforms.
  • Assist with payroll services, including payroll transactions, time and attendance reporting, and budget/salary listings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files.
  • Lead staff assistants in ensuring filing policies are followed and clear communication lines to the Dining Hall Managers.
  • Maintain uniforms, ensuring accurate inventory and distribution.
  • Enter and coordinate payments of invoices and processing quotes.
  • Communicate with vendors on invoices and statements, gathering data for monthly financial reporting.
  • Assist with daily deposits and internal auditing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and a positive, friendly demeanor at all times.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of administrative experience, or high school diploma or GED and five years of administrative experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other software packages.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Physical requirements include extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and overnights.
