Position Overview: As the Guest Services Supervisor, you will report directly to the General Manager and oversee the daily operations of the Front Office and Reception departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the front office team to provide exceptional service that surpasses guest expectations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring all team members are well-trained in operational standards.
  • Maintain data accuracy across all systems and generate essential daily reports for various departments.
  • Manage occupancy levels effectively and collaborate with other departments to optimize guest experiences.
  • Utilize coaching techniques to motivate the team and keep them informed about daily operations.
  • Set ambitious yet achievable goals for the team to enhance occupancy rates and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback through regular meetings and performance reviews.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for the Front Office team, ensuring a strong and capable workforce.
  • Manage departmental expenses in alignment with budgetary forecasts.
  • Control inventory and oversee the management of hotel amenities, ensuring accurate reporting and accountability.
  • Supervise night team operations, ensuring compliance with audit procedures and accurate reporting to finance.
  • Engage in projects aimed at the development and enhancement of the Front Office team.
  • Assist the General Manager with statistical analysis and operational assessments.
  • Ensure effective scheduling for the Front Office team, adhering to local labor regulations.
  • Oversee payroll processes for all Front Office staff.
  • Encourage a positive work environment where team members are motivated and committed to excellence.
  • Play a pivotal role in training and development for new hires and ongoing team members.
  • Maintain a visible presence in both front and back of house, engaging with guests and team members alike.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Front Office management, with a focus on team leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a knack for making guests and team members feel welcomed.
  • Proficiency in Opera or similar property management systems.
  • Expertise in scheduling and payroll management.
  • Ability to take initiative, resolve issues, and make informed decisions.
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to the unique culture of The Hoxton.
  • Collaborative mindset aimed at achieving high standards of service delivery.
