About the Role

Gentiva Hospice is seeking an experienced Executive Director Specialist RN to join our team as a hospice subject matter expert. This role will require a minimum of 75% travel throughout our East Region, serving as the administrator on call and responsible for the overall operation at local offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines, promoting high-quality customer service.
  • Implement and Evaluate Goals: Develop and implement goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote quality standards, contributing to the organization's philosophy.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal rules and regulations, meeting growth and development targets.
  • Drive Market Acceptance: Establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area.
About You

This role requires a person who is willing to travel extensively within the region, responsible for establishing and implementing goals for hospice services and driving the operation of facilities. The ideal candidate will manage budgets, ensure organizational goals align with conscientious, humane care of patients, and comply with all federal and state guidelines.

Requirements
  • Experience in Hospice Operations: Proven experience in hospice operations, state and federal regulations, and compliance.
  • Registered Nurse Required: BSN preferred, with strong regulatory affairs and governance requirements for healthcare.
  • Travel Requirements: Able to travel up to 100% of the time throughout the region.
  • Medicaid and Medicare Reimbursement: Experience with Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement.
  • Healthcare Sales and Management: Experience in healthcare sales and/or management with P&L responsibility.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelors degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience and knowledge.
  • Communication and Time Management: Confident to work independently, ability to communicate clearly, and effective time management skills.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Shares information with team to improve overall team performance, exercises professional judgment, and demonstrates good problem-resolution skills.
  • Technical Skills: Very comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications, quick to learn and apply new knowledge, and effectively processes and integrates time-sensitive information from multiple sources.
