Project Construction Manager

Roers Companies is in search of a motivated and skilled professional to become part of our team as a Project Construction Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage project timelines and sequences.
  • Anticipate necessary resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities and schedule various phases to ensure timely completion.
  • Assess project progress and generate comprehensive reports as required by internal and external parties.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promptly address any issues.
  • Adhere to local, state, and national building codes and safety protocols.
  • Utilize project management software to update timelines, monitor progress, and document project developments.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, conducting quality assurance and safety inspections while providing on-site guidance.
  • Adapt to changes in site operations as needed to meet construction deadlines effectively.
  • Maintain a daily log of site operations and report to management as necessary.
  • Offer value engineering solutions throughout the construction process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Foster positive relationships with city officials, owners, personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist in site readiness for early access by leasing and marketing teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in multifamily residential construction.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with current building codes and ADA regulations.
  • Experience in site construction, including precast, wood framing, MEP trades, and interior finishes.
  • Proven understanding of multifamily construction methods and practices.
  • Experience with alternative construction methods and value engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Procore construction management software.
  • Ability to work independently while leading a small team throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Review all construction documentation and owner standards to ensure on-site execution.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
  • Highly organized with the ability to forecast upcoming work scopes for timely completion.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate varying project needs.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, making informed decisions that prioritize clients and team members.
  • Demonstrate high integrity, being trustworthy, direct, and confident.
  • Collaborative team player, recognizing the value of working together.
