Position Summary

We are looking for a full-time Lead Construction Project Manager to oversee project teams throughout the construction lifecycle, from preconstruction to project closeout. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the construction process, including specifications and field labor, as well as project management principles such as scheduling and estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume total project responsibility, including scheduling and safety compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Baxter staff compliance and conduct staff development reviews.
  • Manage buyouts and contract negotiations, along with pay applications.
  • Facilitate monthly job status meetings and maintain quality control.
  • Assist in leading Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings and project forecasting for profitability.
  • Foster client relationships and oversee project planning and document management.
  • Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to ensure project alignment.

Baxter Construction utilizes various software tools, including Procore, Sage Timberline Office, Microsoft products, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project. Candidates should demonstrate strong time management and communication skills, with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines and pressure. Building and maintaining positive relationships with all project stakeholders is essential, especially when navigating challenging situations.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a construction-related discipline combined with a minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience is acceptable.
