Position Overview

The Case Manager for the Unaccompanied Children Program plays a vital role in delivering culturally sensitive assessment and case management services to recently arrived unaccompanied minors and their sponsors in the United States. This position is essential for ensuring the safety and well-being of these youths through comprehensive support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular visits and phone consultations to evaluate the safety and suitability of placements, while facilitating connections to community resources for the youth and their families.
  • Engage in continuous case management, focusing on identifying and addressing the needs of the youth across various domains, including safety, stability of placement, guardianship, education, health, mental health, legal matters, and enrichment activities.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention services as required, or link families to appropriate support services to ensure the safety and welfare of the youth during emergencies.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services is required.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with proficiency in verbal and written communication, is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including air travel and overnight stays, is essential.

Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work schedule. A sign-on bonus is available for those working in the Unaccompanied Refugee Children program.
