About the Role

Element Resources is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our leading Battery Recycling facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, flue pipes, water lines, burner systems, air compressors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all piping in the facility.
  • Install, maintain, and repair valves, hoses, fittings, bearings, gauges, and meters in the facility.
  • Weld and repair carbon and stainless steels, adhering to AWS D1.1 standards.
  • Layout and fabricate from blueprint or sketch.
  • Communicate with employees and supervisors from all departments to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Repair and upkeep of buildings and building systems as required.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting, including motor control circuits and changing out motors.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Able to work independently or with a team.
Requirements
  • AWS D1.1 certification.
  • Rigging and lifting experience.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) a plus.
  • Ability to operate a manlift and forklift.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces and climb fixed/portable ladders.
  • Ability to operate cranes and obtain operating certificate for mobile cranes.
  • NFPA 70E certification a plus.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
