We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Element Resources, a leading battery recycling facility in the country. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of various equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, flue pipes, water lines, burner systems, air compressors, and hydraulic systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair all piping in the facility.
- Install, maintain, and repair valves, hoses, fittings, bearings, gauges, and meters in the facility.
- Weld and repair carbon and stainless steels, adhering to AWS D1.1 standards.
- Layout and fabricate from blueprint or sketch.
- Communicate with employees and supervisors from all departments to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Repair and upkeep of buildings and building systems as required.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting, including motor control circuits and motor replacement.
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- AWS D1.1 certification is mandatory.
- Rigging and lifting experience is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
- Ability to operate a manlift and forklift is necessary.
- Ability to enter confined spaces and climb fixed/portable ladders is required.
- Ability to operate cranes and obtain an operating certificate for mobile cranes is necessary.
- NFPA 70E certification is a plus (training will be provided if necessary).
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required.
