Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to perform general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes owned by the community. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the community's grounds and facilities are well-maintained and safe for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure homes and community areas are in good condition.
  • Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospective residents, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Identify and address deficiencies in community facilities and grounds, working with the Community Manager to implement solutions.
  • Maintain community grounds, including mowing, trimming, and pruning, as well as treating for weeds and removing debris.
  • Remove and dispose of garbage and recyclables from community grounds and resident sites, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform snow removal and other seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventories of maintenance equipment and supplies, advising the Community Manager of needs and recommendations.
  • Maintain order and appearance of garage and storage areas.
  • Comply with national, state, and local health and safety laws to reduce accident occurrences and protect residents, employees, and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid operator's license and good driving record.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
