About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Spartech, a leading manufacturing organization in the Custom Sheet & Roll Stock and Packaging industries. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Install, repair, and modify electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and up-time.
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and updating of maintenance logs, documents, and other records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
  • Ability to safely operate a wide variety of tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including gearboxes, motors, air compressors, pumps, and AC and DC drive troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read, communicate, and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive approach to minimizing equipment downtime.
