Job Summary

Seminole Electric is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cooperative Education Student to join our Supply Management - Materials Management team. As a key member of our team, you will provide support services to fulfill materials management functional objectives, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze freight bills to provide payment recommendations to Materials Analysts.
  • Resolve discrepancies on inventory Purchase Orders with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain Materials Management nomenclature standards in Word for spare part descriptions and revisions.
  • Assist in reconciling issues with vendors on blanket purchase orders, including pricing errors, quantity changes, and obsoleted parts.
  • Support the Materials Management section in the inventory control program, including forecasting inventory levels, detailed item analysis, and recommending minimum/maximum inventory levels and reorder point levels.
  • Perform return to stock analysis to determine the need to cancel requisitions and/or purchases, maintaining cost avoidance figures for cancellations.
  • Assist in the Investment Recovery program, performing sales and marketing of surplus corporate assets.
  • Run queries or report programs to analyze the work and asset management database.
  • Assist with filing, copying, creation of spreadsheets, and special projects as needed.
  • Perform various data entry into automated work and asset management software as instructed.
  • Assist in testing upgrades and enhancements to the work and asset management software.
Requirements

Working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, data science, statistics, business, finance, accounting, or a similar degree. Process knowledge is a plus. Co-op students are expected to be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester, maintain a 2.75 GPA, and work approximately 20 hours a week.
