Job Title: Student Services Manager

Feeding Tampa Bay is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Services Manager to lead the work of professional development for students through education, job preparation, and the facilitation of further learning and job opportunities.

Job Summary:

The Student Services Manager will serve as the primary contact for students, ensuring they have the plans, resources, and support needed to successfully complete training and gain and retain employment in relevant industries. This role will collaborate with Neighbor Services leadership and navigators to assess student needs, develop action plans, assist with service and benefits applications, and submit referrals to appropriate service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intakes and needs assessments for prospective students prior to enrollment in Freshforce job training programs.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and interactions in student files in compliance with Feeding Tampa Bay and other governing agencies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for students, providing support, coaching, and guidance on professional development, job preparation, and other training and employment-related activities.
  • Coordinate with the Neighbor Services team to make referrals for empowerment services needs.
  • Complete necessary follow-up with the Neighbor Services team to close the loop on resource referrals.
  • Coordinate with program instructors to assess student progress and determine student needs and special accommodations.
  • Design and implement Employment Readiness and Life Skills (ERLS) curriculum, including coordinating with other facilitators and community partners for class sessions.
  • Conduct employment verification checks for students after graduation.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of eligible students in alignment with industry standards and employer needs.
  • Provide support to students post-graduation as necessary, ensuring a stable transition from training to employment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years' experience in social work, education, human services, counseling, or other relevant/related fields.
  • Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with case management and sourcing employment opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Familiarity with low-income and culturally diverse populations; experience with homeless or housing-insecure populations is preferred.
  • Strong administrative skills, including record-keeping, file organization, and data management.
  • Experience working in high stress environments with preferred skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, active listening and motivational interviewing.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite. Experience with Zoom and Asana are preferred.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
