JOB OBJECTIVE: To design and execute a dynamic educational program and classroom atmosphere that fosters student learning and individual development. Formulates lesson plans that align with established educational standards. Establishes strong connections with students, colleagues, and parents. Inspires students to cultivate skills, attitudes, and knowledge that lay a solid educational groundwork, tailored to each student's unique capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instructional Duties:
    Develops and executes an instructional program that aligns with the organization’s educational philosophy and objectives as defined in the approved curriculum.
  • Creates intentional and suitable lesson plans that incorporate effective teaching methodologies and optimize instructional time.
  • Delivers subject content to students to enhance learning experiences and provides practical, real-world examples.
  • Analyzes student records to gain insights into each student's strengths and needs, maintaining thorough and accurate documentation.
  • Aims to elevate the educational performance of every student.
  • Employs a diverse range of learning modalities in each lesson and implements differentiated instruction as necessary.
  • Conducts regular assessments of student learning to inform instructional practices.
  • Maintains comprehensive student records.
  • Evaluates student strengths and challenges consistently, offering appropriate activities to meet their needs and generating progress reports as required.
  • Refers students with potential learning difficulties to the appropriate support services.
  • Assigns tasks, evaluates student work, and provides feedback on oral presentations.
  • Organizes educational field trips as needed.
  • Prepares students for state-mandated achievement assessments.
  • Stays updated on subject matter expertise and educational theories, sharing knowledge to enhance the school’s curriculum.
  • Contributes to the ongoing curriculum development process, including revising written course outlines.
  • Assists in selecting instructional materials, including books and equipment.
  • Familiarizes with supplementary services that can benefit students beyond regular classroom activities.

Classroom Environment:

  • Establishes a classroom setting that promotes learning and is suitable for the maturity and interests of students.
  • Maintains a positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing to support their growth.
  • Ensures the classroom is tidy, secure, and showcases student work appropriately.
  • Implements relevant policies governing student behavior.
  • Develops reasonable classroom and playground behavior guidelines in accordance with organizational policies, maintaining order fairly and consistently.

Instructional Planning:

  • Creates lesson plans that align with established educational guidelines and objectives.
  • Designs individual and group learning activities that meet instructional goals and cater to student needs.
  • Prepares thoroughly for assigned classes and demonstrates readiness upon request from supervisory personnel.
  • Collaborates with colleagues in curriculum planning during designated meetings.
  • Incorporates all necessary diagnostic information as outlined in students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Takes appropriate precautions to safeguard supplies, equipment, and materials essential for effective instruction.

Community Engagement:

  • Strives to build cooperative relationships and communicates effectively with parents and guardians when appropriate.
  • Maintains clear, consistent, and positive communication with parents through various channels.
  • Collaborates with administration, staff, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Upholds confidentiality regarding student records.
  • Engages in parent communication initiatives.
  • Participates in extracurricular activities to foster a positive school culture and support students and staff as needed.
