JOB OBJECTIVE: To design and execute a dynamic educational program and classroom atmosphere that promotes student learning and individual development. Formulates lesson plans in alignment with established educational standards. Cultivates positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Inspires students to acquire skills, attitudes, and knowledge that lay a solid educational groundwork, tailored to each student's capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instructional Responsibilities:
    Develops and executes a curriculum that aligns with the organization's mission, goals, and educational standards. Constructs thoughtful lesson plans that employ effective teaching methodologies and optimize instructional time.
  • Presents educational content to students to enhance learning experiences, incorporating practical, real-world examples.
  • Analyzes student performance data to gain insights into individual student needs and maintains comprehensive student records.
  • Aims to elevate the academic performance of each student through targeted instruction.
  • Employs diverse learning strategies in each lesson and implements differentiated instruction to cater to varied learning styles.
  • Conducts regular assessments of student learning and maintains thorough documentation of student progress.
  • Identifies students requiring additional support and refers them to appropriate resources.
  • Assigns homework, evaluates student submissions, and provides feedback on oral presentations.
  • Organizes educational field trips as necessary.
  • Prepares students for state-mandated assessments.
  • Stays informed on subject matter advancements and educational theories, sharing insights to enhance the curriculum.
  • Contributes to the ongoing development of the curriculum, including updates to written educational materials.
  • Assists in selecting instructional resources and materials.
  • Familiarizes with supplementary services that can enhance student learning.

Classroom Environment:

  • Establishes a classroom setting that is conducive to learning and reflects the developmental stages and interests of students.
  • Maintains a positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and support to foster their growth.
  • Ensures the classroom is organized, safe, and showcases student work appropriately.
  • Implements policies regarding student behavior effectively.
  • Develops and enforces classroom rules in accordance with organizational guidelines, maintaining order fairly and consistently.

Instructional Planning:

  • Creates lesson plans that align with educational standards and objectives.
  • Designs individual and group learning activities that meet instructional goals and student needs.
  • Prepares thoroughly for assigned classes and demonstrates readiness upon request from supervisors.
  • Collaborates with colleagues during curriculum planning sessions.
  • Incorporates diagnostic information from Individual Education Plans (IEPs) into lesson planning.
  • Takes necessary precautions to safeguard instructional materials and resources.

Community Engagement:

  • Strives to build cooperative relationships and communicates effectively with parents and guardians as appropriate.
  • Maintains clear, consistent, and positive communication with parents through various channels.
  • Collaborates with administration and fellow staff members.
  • Upholds confidentiality regarding student information.
  • Participates in parent engagement initiatives.
  • Engages in extracurricular activities to foster a positive school culture and support students and staff.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Compensation and benefits will be provided in accordance with company policies. The duration of employment and working hours will be established by the organization.

FLSA OVERTIME STATUS:
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

EVALUATION:
Performance will be assessed in accordance with the organization's policies.
