Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Tatte Bakery & Caf. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in managing the kitchen operations, leading the savory kitchen team, and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the fast-paced energy and high volume in the café kitchen, working closely with the Café Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations.
- Lead and inspire the café savory kitchen team to exceed guest expectations at every opportunity by creating amazing dishes from scratch while upholding the execution of Tatte's service and product standards.
- Embodies the passion for our savory team members (prep cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers) by proactively developing them as a team and as individual culinary professionals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training within a high-volume sophisticated restaurant operation.
- Proven passion for culinary excellence and exceeding guest expectations.
- Love amazing food and people.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
