Job Summary

The Shelby County team is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator I to join our DevOps team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting fully automated CI/CD processes for infrastructure provisioning, application, and service deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple architectures to ensure code quality and efficient releases.
  • Collaborate with a team of product developers and Cloud Engineers on multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Develop, test, and debug new modules and enhancements for all applications.
  • Contribute to an agile project team to help understand and document client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and facilitate peer code reviews to enhance quality.
  • Work closely with the team to create and maintain an automated CI/CD software pipeline.
  • Build and maintain end-to-end deployment automation for the entire product suite.
  • Promote and collaborate on development and coding best practices.
  • Research new technologies and create software architecture strategies to meet defined business objectives, including minimizing cloud infrastructure cost.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of experience as a system administrator.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or closely related field.
  • Strong experience developing, managing, and automating deployments for complex web applications deployed on-premises and to a cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of tools within cloud environments: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, and SVN.
  • In-depth understanding of software development process and workflows.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and have strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.
Special Requirements
  • Must pass Local and National NCIC Criminal Investigative Reports.
  • Must be on-call as required.
