Join Our Team as a Senior Financial Analyst
The ideal candidate will oversee the financial accounting and reporting for AXA XL's ILS Capital Management, Ceded Reinsurance, and Alternative Capital initiatives. This role involves delivering insightful analysis to both investors and management while ensuring that all internal and external financial reports are accurate and comprehensive. The successful applicant will maintain open lines of communication across all management levels regarding Ceded Reinsurance matters. The candidate must possess the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to stakeholders and demonstrate initiative and accountability in their work.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation of annual audited and/or unaudited financial statements for stakeholders, including directors and investors.
- Assist in the preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Financial Statements for investors.
- Help in calculating the Net Asset Value (NAV) and submitting it to investors.
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist in addressing year-end audit inquiries.
- Organize the preparation, review, and settlement of bordereau reports.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of financial reporting for Ceded Re and Alternative Capital.
- Prepare detailed analyses of ceded variances against Budget, Forecast, and other Internal Reports.
- Foster collaborative relationships across various teams, including Operations, Ceded Re, and Divisional Finance.
- Exhibit strong organizational and planning skills to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Reporting Structure
You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting for Ceded Reinsurance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Possession of a CPA or equivalent accounting designation.
- Experience in auditing large corporations, particularly in the reinsurance sector, or relevant experience in reinsurance accounting.
- Experience with Ceded Reinsurance and ILS is advantageous.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods.
- Proactive approach with the ability to address challenges as they arise.
- Demonstrated efficiency in multitasking with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access).
- Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
- A strong team player who contributes positively to the culture of Ceded Re.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities with a results-oriented mindset.
