Job Description

Shape Technologies Group is seeking a highly skilled Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our machines are delivered to our customers in a production-ready state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of new technologies and production support
  • Provide customer training and support
  • Work closely with the Software Engineering Manager and the Mechanical and Electrical Integration teams
  • Interact with the Project Management and Engineering teams
  • Contribute to the commercial success of projects by advising stakeholders on opportunities for cost savings or potential risk

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fanuc Robots
  • Programming and/or troubleshooting knowledge of Fanuc, ABB, and Motoman robots
  • Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • General mechanical and electrical aptitude of automated systems
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel internationally

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks may be required
  • Must have manual dexterity
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
  • May be required to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electrical/electronic components
  • Must wear safety glasses and safety boots
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and perform moderate lifting
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time traveling to and from the job site
