Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Shape Process Automation. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling custom-built systems, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

• Follow established safety guidelines and company policies, wearing steel-toed boots and SPA shirts when working on the plant floor.
• Read and understand detailed blueprints related to custom-built systems, identifying raw materials and organizing them accordingly.
• Perform Mig welding on mild steel plate and tube stock, with experience in stainless, aluminum, and Tig welding a plus.
• Maintain an organized system of details, including assembly prints on the plant floor, and focus on quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Process all work released to the fabrication department, ensuring safety and quality, and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the fabrication department.
• Ensure daily time tickets and the E-Time system are filled out correctly and turned in at the end of each shift.
• Maintain and perform light repairs of all equipment in the Fabrication areas, including participation in the preventative maintenance program.
• Attend all pertinent meetings regarding the fabrication department and management meetings.
• Offer support to the Team Leader in all aspects of organization, safety, and quality assurance.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid driver's license
• Advanced blueprint reading abilities
• Minimum 8 years of welding experience (Certified preferred)
• Ability to learn from and train other employees
• Pleasant disposition and ability to work with others
• Ability to work odd hours and adapt to a flexible shift
• Ability to travel for fabrication issues at customer facilities
• Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment and machines in the Fabrication Dept.
