Instructors are expected to exhibit potential for progression to higher ranks.Essential Functions
Your primary role will involve teaching and facilitating student learning, with instructional activities conducted in various formats, including online, in-person classrooms, clinical settings, laboratories, or fieldwork environments.
Additionally, you will construct degree programs that present a coherent sequence of courses, enabling students to progressively build and integrate their knowledge and skills.
It is essential to develop a strong understanding of pedagogy, your academic discipline, and, where applicable, the clinical profession, including engaging in scholarly activities.
Community Contribution
Play an active role in enhancing the College community through dedicated service to both the institution and the wider community.
Physical Requirements
Normal or corrected auditory and visual acuity is required. Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers, is necessary. The work environment is climate-controlled, with occasional exposure to inclement weather while traveling between buildings. Some travel to various locations may be required.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and related activities is crucial. A diploma in Medical Assisting is required, along with a Medical Assisting credential from NCCA. A minimum of two years of experience is preferred, with at least one year of teaching experience being advantageous.
