Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist
Location: Palo Alto, California
Contract Duration: 12 months
Rate: $45 - $60 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist for a 12-month contract role in Palo Alto, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, network management, and system administration. You will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting IT systems, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting the organization's technological needs.
The Workplace IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical solutions, executing projects, and overseeing the operation of workplace systems across all offices in the Americas. These systems include meeting rooms and A/V systems, badge access, asset tracking, printing, surveillance, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting Rooms and A/V Systems
- Design and architect comprehensive systems, evaluate technical solutions from vendors, and select the optimal option considering budget, operational efficiency, and other factors.
- Manage the full lifecycle of audio-visual and video-conferencing systems, from design and bidding through implementation, commissioning, and handover for spaces such as conference rooms, training rooms, event venues, and all-hands areas.
- Badge Access System
- Design a scalable, efficient platform with minimal operational overhead.
- Collaborate with project managers (PMs) to deliver the platform and oversee daily operations.
- Asset Tracking System
- Enhance the system and processes to maintain low operational requirements.
- Work with PMs to effectively implement and manage the system.
- Surveillance System
- Partner with the facilities team to implement necessary infrastructure and integrate access control and surveillance systems into the network.
- Printing System
- Oversee the operation and management of the organization's printing systems.
