Job Summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Access Services team, you will be responsible for completing patient admissions/registration functions, identifying patients' insurance coverage, and handling routine customer service inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure secure handling and accurate recording of payments collected at the point-of-service delivery.
  • Apply customer service and healthcare coverage experience to assist a broad range of clients, patients, and families with admitting/registration activities.
  • Escalate any advanced or complex registrations to a more experienced team member.
  • Participate in projects of moderate scope.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all individuals with whom the employee has contact.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish).
  • Demonstrates knowledge as applicable with Epic, insurance websites, POS payment systems, web-based screening tools.
  • Knowledgeable of medical terminology, eligibility, and enrollment requirements for Medicare, Medi-Cal, Workers' Comp, Managed Care (HMO, PPO, POS, etc.), Children's Health Programs (CCS, GHPP, Healthy Families, etc.).
