Position Overview:
The Vice President, Structured Credit Fund Operations is a pivotal role within Carlyle Global Credit, focusing on the comprehensive management of fund operations, finance, and investor relations for the Structured Credit sector. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who possesses extensive expertise in finance and operations, particularly within the realm of liquid credit closed-ended carry funds and bespoke managed accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fund Management Coordination: Collaborate with investment teams, legal advisors, and operational staff to effectively plan and execute fund and transaction closures, ensuring compliance with legal entity structures.
  • Entity Formation: Assist in the establishment of new entities, preparing necessary documentation for internal approvals and coordinating tax documentation for compliance.
  • Investor Diligence: Manage the due diligence process for new Limited Partners (LPs), facilitating meetings and addressing inquiries.
  • Capital Management: Oversee fund capital activities, including capital call and distribution calculations, ensuring accurate management fee and allocation processes.
  • Valuation Oversight: Review valuation models prepared by the deal team and ensure the preparation of materials for quarterly valuation meetings.
  • Financial Reporting: Supervise quarterly fund closes, reviewing financial statements and ensuring accurate reporting to investors.
  • Audit Coordination: Manage requests from external auditors and facilitate year-end audit processes.
  • Tax Compliance: Conduct annual reviews of tax documentation and ensure compliance across all entities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in private credit or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting and the credit industry.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and structured finance principles.
