About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Ridgeview Institute Smyrna in Smyrna, GA.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to our facility, including recruiting efforts, conducting orientations, managing onboarding processes, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with employee benefits enrollment and retirement program enrollment meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as experience with HRIS systems such as Paycom and Healthstream.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of HRIS (Paycom) and Healthstream Management ensuring data accuracy
  • Provide HR support to the facility by managing all personnel issues within corporate policies and procedures abiding to federal and state guidelines
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and conduct orientation
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Assist in preparing personnel-related documents for Joint Commission and CMS surveys
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Conduct employee benefit orientation and open enrollment meetings and enroll employees in health insurance and retirement plans when eligible
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Director and prepare requested reports for the Human Resources Director as requested
  • Validate licenses of all new employees through the appropriate licensing board
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as required
  • Assist in processing termination paperwork (COBRA packages) to all discharged employees

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a hospital business office and/or human resources, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Paycom and Healthstream experience preferred
  • Ability to work occasional flexible hours as requested
  • Bilingual is a plus
