About the Role

The HR Generalist will oversee various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, benefits administration, payroll, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities:
  1. Recruitment and Talent Management:
    • Source, interview, and onboard candidates for both office and field positions.
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  2. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer company benefit programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and wellness initiatives.
    • Educate employees on benefit offerings and facilitate open enrollment sessions.
  3. Payroll and Compliance:
    • Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate payroll processing.
    • Manage time tracking and address payroll discrepancies.
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  4. Employee Relations and Safety:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
    • Mediate and resolve employee conflicts to maintain a healthy work environment.
    • Collaborate with safety officers to ensure workplace safety standards are met.
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction or general contracting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
