Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Extended Reach Forklifts and Skid Steers: Safely and efficiently operate extended reach forklifts and skid steers to transport hazardous materials and equipment.
  • Handle Hazardous Materials: Handle hazardous materials with strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
  • Perform Daily Equipment Inspections and Maintenance: Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure operational safety and prevent equipment failure.
  • Coordinate with Project Team: Coordinate with the project team to achieve project goals and timelines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Conduct Site Assessments and Participate in Safety Meetings: Conduct site assessments and participate in safety meetings to identify potential hazards and implement safety protocols.
  • Follow Safety Procedures and Wear PPE: Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Respond to Emergencies and Hazardous Material Spills: Respond to emergencies and hazardous material spills following established procedures, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Must have completed 40 hours of HAZWOPER training with an 8-hour refresher.
  • Experience: Prior experience operating extended reach forklifts and skid steers.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling.
  • Attributes: Dedication, commitment, and a high regard for safety.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional Certifications: Additional certifications related to hazardous material handling.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a project-based environment.
