Capital Markets Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Managing Director to lead our Capital Markets team. As a key member of our Investment Banking division, you will be responsible for providing capital markets services and M&A advisory services to public and private companies.
Key Responsibilities- Drive activities and strategies for public market financing engagements.
- Partner with the institutional sales team, traders, and other internal and external partners to develop, market, and deliver complex solutions to clients.
- Provide clients with M&A advisory services, including conducting company valuations, deal structuring, negotiations, and due diligence, ensuring alignment with the client's strategic and financial objectives.
- Adhere to and enforce compliance with firm and regulatory requirements.
- Lead preparation of documentation and marketing materials.
- Market and negotiate transactions.
- Lead deal teams in the execution of financing transactions, including public offerings, private placements, and PIPE transactions.
- Work with investment bankers to ensure proper coverage of existing firm relationships and new client origination.
- Provide support with new business development efforts, including identification and prioritization of potential clients, development and delivery of pitches to prospective clients, and participation in marketing at industry events.
- Minimum of five years in Investment Banking or Capital Markets experience, with at least two years of experience at the Managing Director level.
- FINRA SIE, 7, 63, and Series 79 License (or equivalent registrations).
- MBA highly desirable.
- Relevant industry experience in Northland's industry sectors.
- Significant experience in the execution of financing transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, convertible debt, and debt transactions.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions with a proven track record working on executed deals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Develops and maintains client and investor relationships.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to a team atmosphere.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.

Registration RequirementThis position requires Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registration. Qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial industry responsibility, regulatory requirements, credit fitness, and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including acceptable background investigation, credit report, and fingerprinting results.
