Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Career Development Intern to join our team. As a Sales Career Development Intern, you will perform various sales functions as assigned by your manager and gain knowledge and exposure in most aspects of the Coca-Cola bottling business, specifically in the sales department.

Responsibilities
  • Establish positive relationships with customers and provide superior customer service
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities
  • Work with functional team members to ensure the highest level of execution on marketing initiatives, new product introductions, and overall Picture of Success (PicOS)
  • Ensure all merchandising and brand standards are executed
  • Partner with sales team to review business results on key business initiatives
  • Use survey results to make recommendations to improve execution vs Picture of Success (PicOS)
  • Gain knowledge of all key business goals, including volume, revenue, margin, share, and execution targets
  • Interact with customers to explain the values of our brand
  • Safeguard company assets
  • Provide feedback and communicate any issues or concerns to management
  • Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays and/or issue sales promotion material to customers
  • Assist in the renewal of contracts (customer marketing agreements) as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited course of study and/or college degree program
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions
  • Strong attention to details with good planning and organizing skills is required
  • Strategic thinking skills along with problem-solving and solid analytical skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
