Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Manager to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. As a Quality Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for the initiation and completion of performance improvement projects as identified by Network Managers, the ESRD Network Quality Improvement Committee, and CMS throughout the departments. You will also serve as a liaison to Hospital-wide Nursing Quality Improvement and Quality Management and assist in activities required by the ESRD Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Conduct data analysis and provide recommendations for quality improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain quality improvement plans and reports.
  • Provide education and training to staff on quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and IPRO ESRD Network of New York in coordination of data collection and distribution of reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement committees and working groups.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare stakeholders.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a current NYS Registered Nurse License. Professional certifications such as CPHQ are preferred. You will also need excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and leadership skills. Demonstrated competency in the care of patients with renal disease, interpersonal relationships, and management is also required.

What We Offer:

Long Island Community Hospital provides a competitive salary range of $79,000 to $134,157.50 annually, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
