Event Manager Job Description

 

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators. The successful candidate will be responsible for product preparation and presentation, training, and providing exceptional service to all Club members.

 

The Event Manager will work closely with warehouse managers, vendors, and in-store Product Demonstrators to ensure seamless execution of product demonstrations. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and hire part-time staff.
  • Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation.
  • Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer service.
  • Communicate between multiple managers, vendors, and demonstrators.
  • Participate in new location grand openings as required.

 

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead well-performing teams.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Able to coach and counsel employees, take corrective measures as needed.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
