Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement restorative justice programs to promote healing, accountability, and reconciliation within the school community.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to build strong relationships and foster a positive school culture.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff on restorative practices and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Facilitate mediations and restorative circles to address conflicts and promote resolution.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform restorative justice initiatives and improve school culture.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to support restorative justice efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, social work, or counseling.
  • Experience in developing and implementing restorative justice programs or conflict resolution initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of restorative justice principles and practices, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a school setting, with a focus on restorative justice and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to inform restorative justice initiatives.
