Special Projects Coordinator

Public Health Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Special Projects Coordinator to join our team. As a Special Projects Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, coordinating meetings, and preparing agendas and notes. You will also be responsible for developing progress metrics and monitoring/reporting progress in achieving Bureau objectives and key results.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Bureau, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and notes, and ensuring efficient workflows.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure milestones and timelines are met across high priority initiatives.
- Develop progress metrics and monitor/report progress in achieving Bureau objectives and key results.
- Prepare briefing materials for high-level Bureau meetings and events, including compiling relevant data, conducting research, and creating presentations.
- Support the planning and development of Bureau events and meetings that advance the Bureau's priorities and objectives.
- Develop talking points and one-pagers; and design and produce routine and special reports as well as other materials.
- Conduct background research and analysis to support new research & evaluation questions, policy positions, and initiatives, including literature reviews.
- Liaise between colleagues in the other offices and bureaus within CPHDS to ensure project objectives are achieved and stakeholders are aligned.
- Identify and help implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- A masters' degree in epidemiology, statistics, data science & informatics or related field.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management.
- Ability to manage and report complex information.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
- Ability to understand data management infrastructure, processes, and products.
- The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to learn quickly, work in teams, and problem solve in a dynamic environment.
Additional Desired Qualities:
- Familiarity with health and population health data, and/or a background in public health.
- Proven track record of dashboard creation and/or visualization production.
- Desire to grow professionally, develop new skills and willingness to work outside of comfort zone.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project management tools such as AirTable or Microsoft Planner.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- High degree of self-awareness, humility, and diplomacy.
