We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Special Projects Coordinator to join our team at Public Health Solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work with a world-renowned public health agency and contribute to the development and implementation of a centralized data platform.

Job Summary:

The Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and reporting progress towards Bureau priorities, coordinating and managing Bureau events, meetings, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a high-level understanding of data systems, data analysis, and public health action.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the Bureau, ensuring efficient workflows and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop progress metrics and monitor/report progress in achieving Bureau objectives and key results.
  • Prepare briefing materials for high-level Bureau meetings and events, including compiling relevant data and creating presentations.
  • Support the planning and development of Bureau events and meetings that advance the Bureau's priorities and objectives.
  • Conduct background research and analysis to support new research & evaluation questions, policy positions, and initiatives.
  • Liaise between colleagues in other offices and bureaus to ensure project objectives are achieved and stakeholders are aligned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A master's degree in epidemiology, statistics, data science & informatics or related field.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management.
  • Ability to manage and report complex information.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Additional Desired Qualities:

  • Familiarity with health and population health data, and/or a background in public health.
  • Proven track record of dashboard creation and/or visualization production.
  • Desire to grow professionally, develop new skills, and willingness to work outside of comfort zone.
