Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective use of medications, including monitoring patient responses and reporting any adverse reactions.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices and guidelines, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, customers, and colleagues, and respond to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop the skills of pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy by managing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and report any potential losses or security risks.
  • Workflow Management: Optimize workflow processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Must be certified in immunizations through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check and be free of any felony convictions or pending charges related to controlled substances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
