Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Weekend Pharmacist to join our team at Baton Rouge General. As a Weekend Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department through supervision of pharmacy support personnel.
  • Help ensure compliance with accreditation standards and with federal, state, and local regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
  • Responsible for the development and use of technology and automation used in providing quality pharmaceutical care services.
  • Maintain competency required for current job title/position.
Requirements
  • Current Louisiana license
  • BS Pharmacy
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred
