Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our Local Specialty Pharmacy team at Walgreens. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Experience: Provide empathetic and personalized care to patients, responding to their inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Operations: Manage the daily operation of the pharmacy department, improving prescription numbers, pharmacy sales, and image through accurate filling of prescriptions and providing courteous service.
  • Compliance: Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations, maintaining required records and documentation.
  • Asset Protection: Recommend and implement asset protection controls and procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Training and Development: Maintain current knowledge and required licensure, seeking professional development opportunities to enhance performance.

Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institute.
  • Current pharmacist license in the states within the district.
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, and pharmacy software and technology systems.
