Job Responsibilities:

The Modem Platform Software Engineer will be tasked with developing and delivering modem BSP software for iPhone/iPad. This includes:

  • Creating state-of-the-art BSP/device drivers for modems.
  • Conducting board bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Reviewing hardware schematics and assisting in hardware debugging.
  • Supporting factory testing and resolving critical issues on-site.
  • Performing modem software integration and stabilizing the baseline.
  • Collaborating closely with partners in hardware, RF, protocol, and quality assurance.
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should possess at least 3 years of experience in BSP/device driver development and debugging, along with:

  • Strong programming skills in C and C++.
  • A deep understanding of multi-core embedded hardware systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex modem issues.
  • A highly motivated and disciplined approach, with self-starter qualities.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities, with strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Assembly programming experience.
  • Experience in multiple driver areas.
Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range. This allows for growth and development within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employees at Apple have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. They may also be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
