Key Responsibilities:

The Modem Platform Software Engineer will be tasked with developing and delivering modem BSP software for iPhone/iPad. This includes:

  • Creating advanced BSP/device drivers for modems.
  • Conducting board bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Reviewing hardware schematics and assisting in hardware debugging.
  • Supporting factory testing and resolving critical issues on-site.
  • Performing modem software integration and stabilizing the baseline.
  • Collaborating closely with partners in hardware, RF, protocol, and quality assurance.
Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in BSP/device driver development and debugging.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++.
  • A deep understanding of multi-core embedded hardware systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex modem issues.
  • A highly motivated and disciplined approach, with self-starter qualities.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Assembly programming experience.
  • Experience across multiple driver areas.
Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our total compensation package, which is determined within a range. This allows for growth and development within the role. The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, with actual pay depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
