Key Responsibilities:

The Modem Platform Software Engineer will be tasked with developing and delivering modem BSP software for devices such as iPhone and iPad. This role includes:

  • Creating advanced BSP/device drivers for modems.
  • Conducting board bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Reviewing hardware schematics and assisting in hardware debugging.
  • Supporting factory testing and resolving critical issues on-site.
  • Performing modem software integration and stabilizing the baseline.
  • Collaborating closely with hardware, RF, protocol, and quality assurance teams.
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in BSP/device driver development and debugging.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++.
  • A deep understanding of multi-core embedded hardware systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex modem issues.
  • A highly motivated and disciplined approach, with self-starter qualities.
  • Excellent teamwork and strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Assembly programming experience.
  • Experience across multiple driver domains.
Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth and progression as you develop in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employees at Apple also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in the company's discretionary employee stock programs. Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
