As part of the "Wireless Technology and Ecosystems (WTE)" organization, you will be integrated into a top-tier team of engineers, working alongside cross-functional teams to drive innovation and develop products utilized by millions globally.

Apple's Wireless Software Architecture team is on the lookout for talented, highly motivated, and self-directed engineers to work across multiple layers on state-of-the-art wireless cellular technologies.

The role involves identifying and/or developing essential wireless technologies that address everyday challenges faced by customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch, and other wireless product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
Apple's Cellular Software team is seeking skilled, highly motivated, and disciplined engineers to work across layers on pioneering cellular technologies.

The position entails identifying and/or developing fundamental cellular technologies that resolve everyday issues for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch, and other wireless product lines.

This team prides itself on not only creating proven software designs but also on challenging conventional models of the cellular ecosystem.

  • SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces, to devise the most effective solutions for any given challenge.

Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in wireless protocol software development/system engineering.

Key Skills:
Strong Software Engineering capabilities, including design, programming (C or C++, scripting), and debugging.
In-depth knowledge of 3GPP specifications related to Access Stratum protocols.
Experience with real-time operating systems.
Proven debugging expertise for embedded system software products.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in designing and developing cellular protocol features for consumer products is advantageous.
A relentless passion for problem-solving in innovative ways.
Attention to detail that matters to customers.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications, or related fields.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
