Golden Gate Regional Center is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives. We are currently seeking qualified Social Workers to join our team.
Work Environment:
This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing you to engage with clients in their homes, at our office, and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the designated Supervising Social Worker to assess the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Program Plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
- Conduct home visits and community meetings to evaluate progress and adapt plans as necessary.
- Advocate for clients and their families to ensure they receive entitled services and support.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Identify community resources and service gaps, facilitating the development of new services as needed.
- Participate in outreach and intake services as required.
- Engage in community committees and task forces to promote service improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of counseling principles and techniques.
- Understanding of human behavior and family dynamics.
- Ability to effectively interview and communicate with diverse populations.
- Proficient in maintaining organized case records.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
