Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Marketing Communications Specialist. The incumbent performs a variety of specialized District-wide marketing and communications support functions; researches, writes, and distributes information about the District; creates and designs communications materials; provides administrative office support, including planning and coordinating activities and events; and provides assistance to District and College personnel regarding marketing, branding, and communications as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to promote the District and its colleges.
  • Research and write various types of communications materials, including press releases, social media posts, and website content.
  • Design and produce visual communications materials, such as brochures, flyers, and posters.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing and communications team, including planning and coordinating events and activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns to promote the District and its colleges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • At least two years of professional experience in public relations, marketing, or journalism, news writing, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, design, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
