Patient Transport Coordinator

The Access Center Dispatcher Lead is responsible for leading the clinical team within the Access Center during their shift. This role requires excellent communication, multi-tasking, and listening skills to ensure high-quality, accurate job performance that supports Children's Health's mission to make life better for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the deployment of transport teams and ensures the safety of patients by dispatching the appropriate team composition.
- Utilizes software to perform duties, including activating the transport team, dispatching ambulances and pilots, and tracking ambulances and aircraft.
- Maintains updated knowledge of hospital processes and escalation procedures, including denials, capacity considerations, and post-accident/incident plans.
- Trains and educates new Access Center team members and participates in quality improvement programs.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of job-related experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training beyond high school required.
- Completion of a paramedic or EMT program with licensure/certification required.
