Join our team as a Patient Transporter at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with daily living activities, such as toileting, showering, and transporting them to appointments and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Assist patients with daily living activities, including toileting, showering, and transporting them to appointments and procedures.
- Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, as needed.
- Assist with meal services on the nursing units, as directed.
- Operate elevators for use by patients, as applicable.
- Distribute mail, flowers, and packages to patients.
- Transport specimens, as needed.
- Report changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinician.
- Assist with ADLs and rehabilitation techniques on the nursing unit to maximize patient recovery.
- One or more years of hospital experience, preferred.
- Flexible scheduling with rotating weekends.
- Team-oriented and collaborative culture.
