As the Area Operations Manager, you will oversee the effective management and profitability of a portfolio of properties under the guidance of the Vice President. Your role will involve directing the execution of policies, objectives, and activities for multi-family properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and lead a proficient property management team
- Foster positive relationships with regulatory bodies to enhance the Company’s reputation
- Manage properties to optimize occupancy rates
- Collaborate with the controller to ensure effective contract management and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversee the long-term financial performance of properties in your area
- Administer capital improvement budgets and projects
- Support property managers in identifying and implementing enhancements
- Improve customer service through quality resident interactions and owner satisfaction
- Identify growth opportunities and guide the department to meet broader Company objectives
- Ensure adherence to safety practices in compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations
- Follow company policies and procedures while complying with Fair Housing and other applicable laws
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in regional management
- Proven track record of success and high performance
- Strong expectations for personal and team performance
- Demonstrated skills in budgeting and financial analysis
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate
- Professional representation of the company
- Current knowledge of relevant housing industry laws and regulations
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment
- Willingness to travel frequently across multiple states
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional customer service abilities
