Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, validate, and guarantee the technical accuracy and quality of all project-related deliverables.
  • Guide team members to facilitate efficient progress and timely completion of consulting assignments while adhering to budgetary limits.
  • Coordinate project team efforts to ensure deadlines are met, invoices are reviewed, and project budgets are maintained.
  • Develop and nurture business relationships through strategic sales outreach and professional networking.
  • Encourage client engagement by being responsive to existing client needs and motivating consultants to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare sales proposals for both current and prospective clients.
  • Identify and pursue new marketing opportunities, assisting business development teams with literature creation, communication, and follow-up.
  • Participate in conferences, deliver presentations, and prepare regulatory updates and seminars.
  • Effectively communicate management's objectives to ensure alignment with company goals while supporting individual staff aspirations.
  • Ensure optimal utilization and billing of consulting personnel.
  • Continuously monitor and assess employee performance against established goals and standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role includes direct supervision of 1-3 employees within the environmental consulting sector. Responsibilities encompass interviewing and training staff, planning and assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing employee concerns.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience, with strong knowledge of regulatory, industry, and technical aspects related to environmental permitting and compliance.
  • Preferred experience in air dispersion modeling and/or stormwater permitting and compliance.
  • Proven experience in leading teams to conduct technical assessments for submission to clients or regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Capable of drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Proficient in presenting information and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills: Competence in applying mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry. Ability to utilize fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical scenarios.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and navigate diverse variables in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting various forms of instructions.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this position include regular sitting, hand usage, and verbal communication. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching are also necessary. The role may involve extended periods of computer work and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment: The work environment typically includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and potentially hazardous chemicals. The noise level is generally moderate.
