Project Controls Specialist

Audubon Companies is seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for planning and executing cost and schedule control requirements for projects under administrative guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for internal resources
  • Generate project schedules, budgets, and resourcing plans based on project team input
  • Analyze and report project costs and progress using provided reporting tools
  • Monitor and control costs through sound cost engineering principles
  • Collaborate with project team members to maintain accurate cost and schedule updates
  • Review contractor change orders for accuracy based on project team reports
  • Reconcile all commitments and expenditures with financial controls
  • Review internal charges and cost reports against project plans to ensure proper invoicing to clients
  • Interface with discipline personnel for rules of credit/earned value
Requirements:
  • AS or BS degree or equivalent years of experience in the workplace
  • 5+ years of applicable experience
  • Preferred: 10+ years of applicable experience
  • Proficiency in software such as Primavera, MS Project, MS Excel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Strong computer skills in spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
  • Knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera Project Manager or Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables for data analysis
  • Experience and/or knowledge in the use of Microsoft Access database, automated accounting, and cost management systems is preferred
