Job Summary

Thompson Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized dining environment, and supporting our servers and chefs to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist servers, chefs, and managers to ensure that all service staff, dining room, and guest needs are met in a fast and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean restaurant from the dining area, bar area, restrooms, etc.
  • Assist in running food to tables and assisting servers.
  • Set up station and perform side work according to specifications.
  • Attend all scheduled Staff Meetings unless otherwise approved by manager.
  • Follow company SOPs and standards when serving all food items and clearing tables.
  • Clear plates quickly, safely, and efficiently.
  • Keep tables cleared and manicured throughout meal.
  • Expedites and Runs food when assigned.
  • Set up line for shift when assigned.
  • Work together with fellow employees and management to ensure that the guests have the best experience possible.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a restaurant.
  • Food and beverage knowledge.
  • Able to take direction and work in a team environment.
  • Able to solve problems, and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Strong self-motivation and organizational skills.
  • Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
  • Ability to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Effective and professional oral communication skills.
