About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Channel Account Manager to join our team at Promethean Limited. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our sales strategy through assigned channel partners in the K-12 education market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key executives at distribution and channel resellers to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.
  • Meet and exceed assigned top-line revenue goals while maintaining a profitable bottom line.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Promethean's hardware and software solutions and effectively communicate their value to partners and customers.
  • Grow partner sales pipeline through independent sales activities and collaborate with Channel Marketing on partner marketing initiatives.
  • Effectively manage channel conflict and foster excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with partner executives to develop performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
  • Create annual partner business plans and sales strategies, reviewed and adjusted quarterly.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales Representatives and Region Heads to align on sales opportunities and partner sales strategies.
  • Build reseller mindshare and pipeline opportunities through coordinated sales outreach programs.
  • Set MDF plans to maximize ROI and manage expenditures within defined budgets.
  • Ensure partner sales team readiness and build partner self-sufficiency through training.
  • Proactively evaluate and recruit new partners based on coverage needs and market conditions.
  • Forecast partner stock demand and recommend necessary changes to partner coverage and programs.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant sales and channel management experience in the K-12 education market, with 5 years' experience preferred.
  • Experience selling and supporting technology with a focus on hardware solutions that require coordination with installers and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working at a large technology solution provider.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with various partner types, including wholesale distributors, VARs, integrators, NSPs, and MSPs.
  • Experience in negotiating and structuring new and existing partnerships.
  • Strong leadership skills and well-developed sales acumen.
  • Developed analytical skills for tracking and interpreting partner KPIs and recommending action.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time throughout the assigned territory.
  • Willingness and ability to host and lead compelling end-user demonstrations and overviews of Promethean's software and hardware offerings.
  • Located in the Chicago area.
